Halloween DIYS I’m Dreaming Up đź’

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. There’s something about the crisp fall air, the warm lights in the windows, the cozy “do not disturb” energy, and the way everything feels a little more playful once the sun goes down. But this year (and I think every year since having Arthur), will feel more special—because I get to experience it all through my little guy’s eyes.

Arthur’s first Halloween as Charlie Brown (and I’m Sally Brown)! I made the Snoopy house to sit on top of his stroller since he wasn’t walking yet 🙂

I really hope Arthur ends up loving Halloween and fall as much as Russell and I do. I want him to grow up with the same excitement: the costumes, the candy, pumpkin patches, the spooky-but-not-too-spooky vibes… all of it!

My Halloween DIY moodboard for this year

I’ve always loved a craft, and Halloween is the perfect excuse. Every year I end up making my costume (at least the parts I can – see here + here), and I genuinely love the process—browsing ideas, gathering supplies, getting crafty, trying things, fixing things, and then finally seeing it all come together.

It’s also a tradition I’m excited to keep going with Arthur, because it means he’s always there for the behind-the-scenes part too—watching me plan, helping in his own little way, and soaking up the holiday energy before we even step outside.

SO, below is my list for Halloween 2026…I don’t know if I will get to all of it but here’s to hoping! 🙂

  • Rainbow Brite (Mama) and Twink (Arthur)
  • Pom Pom Monster (Arthur)
  • Iridescent Bat Wings (Arthur although he probably won’t even wear them haha)
  • Waynes World (Arthur & his friend)
  • And for next year I think this costume is SO cute and fun!!

Sally Brown & Charlie Brown wishing you a Happy Halloween!
